Loss, Progress, and aging

Loss....I am mainly posting this because we here in the Bay Area have lost a wonderful quilter and instructor. Kathy Honeycutt, who taught me, as she has so many other, the techniques of quilting, and the fun of creating quilts, has left us...it is both a shock and sad, to know she will not be teaching us all her skills in the fall. Many of us plan to continue with the class in honor of her memory.
Designs....After many tries ...I have finally come up with a design for my first purse for the art fair in December...It is simple but a little wild at the same time. I have also wrote down notes and sketched out the next purse..which is also simple by wacky..Maybe this are reflections of my own personality? I will be posting pictures of that and the little beaded amulet I just finished soon. I also spent a day making greeting cards with a girlfriend a few weeks back, which I will post also...am really happy with the technique for these cards..and I will share that when I post next.
Finally I have a birthday coming up and am kinda having a hard time with this aging process...but I will keep truckin along..
thanks for putting up with my rambling

  2. My friend Annette (maybe you know her?) told me about her teacher who passed away. It is the same person. Always so sad to hear this kind of a story.

Hurry up and post your pictures!:)
